The location: A historic Parisian building, where Louboutin first opened his first women’s and men’s boutiques. The space: contemporary and sleek, a complete juxtaposition against the store’s vintage-looking facade.
Walk in and you’ll find a room with stark white walls and small alcoves around it displaying Louboutin Nail Colour (there are 31 in total) as artworks to admire – after all, their sharp bottle caps are quite a departure from the norm.
Renowned French architect Pierre Yovanovitch worked on the boutique’s interior, and he included design elements like burnt wood furniture, a Hainaut blue stone floor and textured walls to reflect Louboutin’s artisanal taste.
Upstairs, a private loft – akin to a boudoir, there are cushioned sofas and powder pink walls – await guests who are keen to try out Louboutin’s beauty offerings. The designer himself adds a personal touch to this space by showcasing his collection of Kachina dolls (wooden Native American figurines) within.
